"Studying, living, working and interacting at EMU and abroad deepened my yearning to live as close to God's kingdom as possible - sowing mercy, cultivating justice, and treading humbly - a life the world finds quite odd."
-Nicholas Detweiler-Stoddard,
Biblical Studies major
The Bible and religion department of Eastern Mennonite University exists within a small Christian liberal arts college dedicated to Anabaptist and Mennonite values of discipleship and service.
With on-campus resources like Eastern Mennonite Eastern Mennonite Seminary; the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, a world renown graduate program, and an active campus ministries team, opportunities for worship and study of faith abound.
Opportunities like the Ministry Inquiry Program provide students with a chance to explore pastoral ministry and test their gifts and sense of call first-hand. Participants work under the supervision of a pastor and are involved in many aspects of a minister's life and work.
Majors, Minors and Courses
