Looking for a great way to use your science or teaching degree? Come work for Mission Springs Outdoor Education, teaching 5th and 6th graders in the great outdoors!
* Gain work experience in outdoor education and youth ministry.
* Grow spiritually living in Christian community near Santa Cruz, CA.
The Naturalist’s duties include:
* Leading hands-on outdoor science classes in our redwood forest and various coastal field trip sites.
* Developing curriculum experienced by 3500 students annually
* Introducing children to God’s creation and good stewardship of natural resources.
Housing and most meals are provided, along with limited health care.
Qualifications needed:
B.A. or B.S. required, biology or elementary education preferred; teaching experience; current First Aid / CPR certification; proven ability to be a positive Christian role model for children.
Mission Springs, located in Scotts Valley, CA, operates a full-service, year-round conference center, two youth summer camps and an outdoor education program. Mission Springs is nestled on almost 300 acres in the spectacular redwood forest of the Santa Cruz coastal mountains. Mission Springs is about 1 hour south of San Francisco and only 7 miles from the ocean.

Job Duties
* Perform visual inspection of microfabricated devices
* Solder electronic components and connectors
* Assemble MEMS -based neurotechnologies
* Conduct device testing and failure analysis
* Training to be provided on site
Education & Experience Required
* Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
* General lab experience
* Good hand-eye coordination & manual dexterity
* Comfortable working under microscope with microscale devices

* Interest in science, mechanics, and electronics
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team including engineers and neuroscientists
* Good verbal communication skills
* High energy
Compensation
Compensation will be based on related experience and performance.

We seek a Faith Community Outreach Manager in our Washington, DC office. This position works to strengthen our grassroots capacity and mobilize grassroots participation in NWF advocacy campaigns, focusing particularly on the initiative to promote global warming solutions and help wildlife survive the impacts of global warming by helping to coordinate the mobilization of members of the faith communities. The Faith Community Outreach Manager will coordinate across NWF ’s departments and regions to develop an effective program to engage faith community members in the effort to solve global warming and protect wildlife for our children’s future.
* Must have a Bachelors degree and five years of advocacy or campaign experience, or equivalent
* Must have possess excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work well with others as a team and independently follow through on assigned tasks
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Willingness to master NWF ’s activist and Congressional database software and systems
* HTML or web content management experience a plus
* Commitment to conservation required
