The Account Executive position is an outside sales position based out of the broadcast facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. Account Sales Executives are experienced media sales professionals able to generate revenue from local and regional advertisers and advertising agencies. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in advertising sales. We are looking for a self starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in driving revenue and increasing a client base.
Responsibilities include:
* Job emphasis is on recruiting new business through cold calls and existing account lists.
* Proactively prospecting and qualifying potential new advertising accounts.
* Sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities on WTNT 570 and WWRC 1260 .
* Present persuasive sales presentations to all levels of an organization.
* Successfully close accounts in excess of $40,000 annually and manage a business exceeding $1,000,000 in yearly recognized revenue.
* Actively manage and develop up to one hundred accounts at all times.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years Advertising Sales experience with proven success.
* Strong sales skills
* Superior phone skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong understanding of marketing dynamics including demographic and psychographic targeting and branding positions.
* Results oriented, accountable, strong work ethic, strong team player.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* 4 year college degree, preferably Marketing and Advertising.

Jubilee Association of Maryland provides residential support services to approximately 100 adults with developmental disabilities in Montgomery County, Maryland. Jubilee has a annual budget of about $6 million, employs about 125 people and has an accounting staff of 3. We are a 501©3 affiliated with the Hyattsville Mennonite Church. Our office is just outside the beltway in historic Kensington, adjacent to the MARC train station.
The accountant is responsible for all accounting functions; preparing and monitoring the annual budget and assisting in financial planning for Jubilee Association and Jubilee Foundation. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Maintain and review the General Ledger, making all classification decisions for expenses, revenue, assets, fund balance accounts, etc., on a monthly basis.
* Produce monthly financial reporting package for the Board of Directors and attend meetings as needed.
* Prepare for and perform an annual financial audit with the agency’s public accountants.
* Supervise Bookkeepers and any interns, and oversee accounting functions performed by other office staff.
* Supervise all payroll functions, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
* Reconcile and monitor all bank accounts, monitor cash flow and maximize investment income.
* Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules, reconcile to general ledger.
* Monitor payments and payment formulas for all State and County contracts. Complete Annual Cost Report, budget modifications, attendance reports and all other reporting requirement required by the Developmental Disabilities Administration.
* Prepare all Federal and State tax forms and Personal Property tax forms.
* Assess client fees based on agency policy and monitor payment and collection of the client fees.
* Collaborate with the Executive Director in preparing budgets for State grants, the Board of Directors, internal controls and planning.
* Collaborate with the Executive Director to conduct cost analyses of potential new services or projects, as well as of existing services. Make recommendations concerning accounting issues, cash flow and other matters
* Calculate and prepare reports for the various financial incentive programs and oversee the calculations of the Bookkeeper for the petty cash surplus and utility incentive programs.
* Implement and adhere to all Jubilee Association and Foundation Accounting Policies and Procedures.
* Participate in weekly director’s team meetings, monthly management team meetings and agency wide planning related to financial interests. Promote Jubilee Association’s values, mission and goals within the context of all responsibilities.
This is an exempt position reporting directly to the Executive Director. Salary range is $53-60,000 depending on education and experience. A competitive benefits package is included; see details at www.jubileemd.org.
Requirements: BS in Accounting or Finance, several years accounting experience, CPA preferred. Familiarity with Great Plains and supervisory experience helpful.
