Some highlights from this past Here's What Community Learning is Doing this Semester

Year One Community Learning Activity Options

Activities for the week of 11/12 – 11/16

Wednesday evening – Skyline Literacy Classes at Community Mennonite Church.

Activity: Help with childcare for adult ESL learners

Time: 6 – 8 p.m.

Thursday evening – Craft Night at Our Community Place

Activity: Help put together Holiday crafts with local folks in the community

Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Come at 6:00 and join OCP for their evening meal.

Saturday Daytime – Habitat for Humanity Project

Activity: Assist with the current Habitat for Humanity Project in Harrisonburg

Time: Flexible times throughout the day.

Saturday Evening - Our Community Place

Activity: Volunteer for OCP's "Night Out" fund raiser by serving as a "staff" member. Help out with serving, busing tables, washing dishes, valet parking, seating, etc.

Time: 6pm-8:30pm

Sunday – Mass in Spanish at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church

Activity: Experience the beautiful liturgy of a Catholic Mass and the rich cultural experience of it being translated into Spanish.

Time: 1:00 p.m.
