Desktop Management at EMU

Overview

These pages are here to inform the EMU campus community when updates take place and what the affects will be for end users. Users are encouraged to look at the Change Log for the operating system that you use at your desk from time to time to see what fixes/patches have been applied recently or for new available software that can be installed on your computer.

Windows Users : All Windows desktops are being managed with ZENworks, a Desktop Management tool created by Novell that gives Information Systems the ability to efficiently and centrally manage all Windows-based computers across campus.

Mac Users : All Macintosh computers across campus are being managed with Apple's Apple Remote Desktop product. Similar to Zenworks, this product allows Information Systems to update all systems centrally and to remotely assist users when problems arise.
