Learning Resources supports the mission of Eastern Mennonite University by providing instructional and other multi-media and audio-visual services for EMU, and by extending limited audio-visual services to the surrounding community.

Policies and Services

Equipment Loans, Rentals and Setup Reservations

Reservations for equipment loans, rentals, and setups must be made 48 hours in advance.
Call Alison D'Silva at x4269 Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm
For equipment setup reservations include the following:

  • Location
  • Time for setup and duration of class or event
  • Equipment needs, including network access & types of drives
  • Contact name and phone number

LR cannot guarantee the availablitiy of some equipment due to limited quantity. Last minute requests will be handled on a staff and equipment available basis.

Learning Resources provides equipment for taping classes and events. For events like the Suter Science Seminar, Writers Read it is necessary to obtain permission from speakers in order to reproduce the recordings. Event planners should have speakers sign the Permission form for Video or Audio Recording of Guest Speaker or Performer. You can print a copy of the form from this link.

Rental Periods and Fees

  • LR equipment is FREE for EMU Faculty/Staff and students only when used for an EMU sponsored event
  • Contact Alison D'Silva for rental fees.
  • Full rental price must be paid of personal use and for use by churches and community.
  • Rental period is one day/24 hours or one weekend
  • FULL RENTAL PRICE MUST BE PAID FOR EACH DAY EQUIPMENT ID OVERDUE.

  • Passport pictures
  • Laminating
  • Audio/Video tape copying
  • Video tape conversion (International to US and vice versa)
